The Devonshire is a hidden gem in the Yorkshire Dales, and my recent gourmet getaway there was quite the experience. The chef, Rob Harrison, has curated an à la carte menu that showcases Yorkshire's produce, creating dishes that feel both innovative and rooted in the region. Breakfast, served with panoramic views, offered a delightful start to each day. I particularly enjoyed the light lunches offered in the dog-friendly conservatory, where I savored local flavors in a relaxing setting. the bar provided a pleasant atmosphere for evening drinks after a fulfilling meal. The hotel itself, with its modern fittings and welcoming staff, complements the culinary experience well. I found the three function spaces versatile for various occasions, from sit-down meals to casual gatherings. It's an experience that embodies both comfort and exquisite taste in every bite.
